2026 Trends on Best Poses to Showcase Baby Bump in Maternity Photos in Toronto

Maternity Photography trends will come and go, the most important element that never changes is the desire to showcase your beautiful pregnant belly for memorable maternity photos.  In this blog, we’ll show you a few ways you can incorporate the best poses to showcase your baby bump in a maternity photoshoot, no matter what style you go with.

1) The Classic silhouette pose

With your pregnancy bell, we want to show all those stunning curves! No matter your height, size and body shape, your belly takes the spotlight. Simple yet elegant silhouette maternity photos is going to stay timeless forever.

 

2. The Hands-on-Belly Pose

One of the easiest ways to showcase your belly bump during your maternity photoshoot is to draw attention to your belly with your hands!  This is an obvious one.   But the trick is to ensure you pose your hands elegantly, just enough to highlight your belly, placement should be in flattering positions and to be careful to not cover up your belly too much with your hands.

This simple pose works really well whether you were looking for an outdoor Toronto Maternity photoshoot, or an indoor maternity photo studio.

 

3. Strong and empowered expecting mama

Another beautiful way to photograph your maternity photos is to be posed in a way that create a majestic, empowered look, yet filled with stunning femininity.  In this pose, one hand may be on belly, while the other is placed on the waist. Or both hands on the waist, to give mama that incredible stance capturing her strength and unwavering love for her precious bundle.

4) Close up of pregnant belly for maternity photoshoot

Another classic maternity portrait is getting a closeup of mama’s belly. Some moms may have battle scars of stretch marks, while some have a smooth round belly with the belly button poking out. These are the incredible changes to your body carrying a new life, a new beginning, and so much love you have for your precious bundle.

Putting your hands on the belly or having a family member kiss the belly is a beautiful and timeless portrait you can incorporate into your maternity photoshoot.
