Toronto Newborn Photographer: What New Parents Should Know

You probably have a laundry list of items to take care of before baby makes their grand arrival. Welcoming a new baby is such an incredible experience, but those first few weeks can feel like a blur.

A professional newborn photography session allows you to preserve those early moment, baby's tiny details, their newborn expressions, and capture your genuine emotions with them.  Those are the days when they are going to fit in your hand so perfectly.

If you're considering a Toronto newborn photographer, here's what you should know before booking your session.

 

When Should You Book a Newborn Photographer?

It's always best to give yourself extra time to do a bit of research.  We recommend family book during 2nd trimester of their pregnancy.  This allows for time to design and brainstorm a customized session that is unique to the family.  

Newborn sessions are usually photographed between 1-3 weeks of birth. So it's best to ensure your session is booked before baby is born.  That way you already have everything planned out and do not have to worry about scrambling to find a photographer, hoping they have availability. 

 

What Happens During a Newborn Session?

At Precious Ones Photography, newborn sessions baby-led and we always have a studio assistant for baby's safety and comfort purposes.  Sessions can run up to 4-hours long so baby has plenty of time to get a proper feed, diaper changes, soothing, while ensuring we capture any many of their beautiful newborn moments for your family.

In our full-service studio, provide a fully curated selection of newborn outfits, wraps, props, and a wardrobe for mom and little ones.  

Safety is always the priority. Our newborn sessions include careful handling and an experienced newborn assistant to help ensure your baby remains comfortable and supported throughout the session.
